YÜKSEKÖĞRETİM, NEDEN VE NASIL: ÜNİVERSİTE ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN PERSPEKTİFİNDEN BİR BAKIŞ

Özet

Bu çalışmada üniversite öğrencilerinin okudukları üniversite ve bölüme ilişkin memnuniyetleri, üniversite ve bölümden beklentileri ve genel anlamda eğitim öğretime bakış açıları belirlenmeye çalışılmış ve elde edilen verilerden hareketle öğrencilerin üniversite okuma ve genelde eğitim alma nedenlerinin tespit edilmesi ve yükseköğretimin amaçları ile üniversite öğrencilerinin amaçlarının ne oranda kesiştiğinin analiz edilmesi hedeflenmiştir. Bu araştırma nitel, betimsel bir saha taraması araştırmasıdır. Araştırma deseni fenomenolojik araştırma desenidir. Araştırmada örnekleme yöntemi olarak olasılık temelli olmayan örnekleme yöntemlerinden amaçlı örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu amaca uygun olarak seçilen 2014-2015 akademik yılında Ege bölgesinde bir devlet üniversitesinin hazırlık sınıfında okuyan, araştırmaya katılmak için gönüllü 87 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Verilerin analizinde nitel analiz yöntemlerinden içerik analizi kullanılmıştır.

Abstract

In this study, the contentedness of students with their universities and departments, their expectations from the university and the department, and their general perspective of education were tried to be identified. With the data collected it is aimed to identify the reasons of students to study at a higher education institute and receiving education in general and how much the aims of the higher education and the aims of the students coincide. This is a qualitative, descriptive survey study. It is designed as a phenomological study. As the sampling technique, purposive sampling was used. The study group for this study consists of 87 voluntary students who study at preparatory classes of a state university in Aegean region in Turkey in the academic year 2014-2015. In the analysis of the data, of the qualitative analysis methods, content analysis was used.
