THE LEVEL OF TEACHERS' COMPETENCIES IN GENERATING ILLUSTRATED CHILDREN'S SONGS USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE PLATFORMS: A FIELD STUDY ON A SAMPLE OF FIRST CYCLE TEACHERS IN THE CITY OF URFA

Route Education and Social Science Journal

Özet

The aim of this study was to measure the level of teachers' competencies in generating animated children's songs using artificial intelligence platforms, and to identify differences in this level based on variables such as educational qualification, age, and participation in previous courses on integrating technology into education.
The researchers adopted a descriptive approach and developed a questionnaire to collect data for the study, which was distributed to a sample of 500 male and female teachers in the first cycle of schools in the city of Urfa.
The researchers used SPSS software to answer the research questions and test its hypotheses. The results revealed the following: The level of competencies of the teachers in the sample regarding the generation of animated children's songs using artificial intelligence platforms was found to be low.
Teachers with higher qualifications (Master's or Ph.D.) outperformed others in terms of their competencies in generating animated children's songs using artificial intelligence platforms.
The younger the teacher, the higher their level of competencies in generating animated children's songs using artificial intelligence platforms.
Teachers who had participated in courses on integrating technology into education outperformed those who had not participated in such courses in terms of their competencies in generating animated children's songs using artificial intelligence platforms.
In light of these findings, the researchers made several recommendations, including the provision of training programs specifically for teachers before and during their service, focusing on how to use artificial intelligence platforms for generating animated children's songs, as well as encouraging teachers to generate innovative educational content using artificial intelligence tools through competitions and awarding prizes to the winners.
