Abstract
The phenomenon of desertification occurs as a result of the deterioration of the environmental system, which leads to a decrease in the productivity of natural resources due to soil erosion, land salinization in irrigated lands, removal of vegetation cover and pollution. Humans may accelerate or slow down the desertification process. The more extreme the prevailing natural conditions, the more harmful the human impact, so the systems Ecological systems are characterized by fragile and sensitive ecosystems that easily lose their natural resources because they are vulnerable to climatic fluctuations and non-optimal human intervention through the establishment of social and technical systems, as well as irrational human exploitation of environmental resources in a manner that is not consistent with natural conditions such as overgrazing and increasing population pressure on the land and the wrong methods that are used in agricultural operations.
