Abstract
The Aghlabid State succeeded in achieving maritime sovereignty in the coasts of the Mediterranean, which was enabled by the natural conditions in its cities, and this helped the role of its princes and their aspiration for conquest and control and the imposition of international sovereignty for them. Through it, it would defeat the Roman fleets and achieve by that expenditure, maritime supremacy, and commercial control.
