SOCIAL DISTANCE AND PSYCHOLOGICAL ELEGANCE A FIELD STUDY

Abstract

Individuals tend to evaluate themselves by the degree of positive interaction and relationships with others and at the level of social relations within the university campus, and the ethics of the profession and legal awareness of what is permitted and prohibited within the university environment is the boundary between positive and negative behavior. so the research sheds light On the type of relations between students on one hand, and between students and professors on the other. on the basis of what happened after the Iraqi society faced the danger of sectarian violence and armed violence between 2006-2009. As it is observed on the students’ behavior from amassing or gathering around friends of the same residential area, clan, or sect. and there are indicators that can be observed daily, which are indifference to the public interest in the use of furniture and public property, and confusion between study and work, and lack of motivation for volunteer work. The research is located in four semesters and a sample was taken from the university and a scale was distributed of 33 questions that investigate the state of social distance and psychological elegance of the university student and comes up with results and recommendations.
