Abstract
Iraq overlooks the outside world, through its ports, which are the only gateway to global markets and its relationship with its foreign trade, and this means many repercussions and repercussions on all sectors of the Iraqi economy, as it contributes to shaping the current and future features, Directly or indirectly, as Iraq established the great port of Faw in the Faw peninsula in order to connect it by trains to Europe through Chinese silk and the restoration of the dry canal project to link Iraq and the Arab Gulf region with Europe. Iraq must complete that project to be the gateway from which ages and prosperity are launched, and for Iraq to return to its natural position in the region and the world.
