Route Education and Social Science Journal

Abstract

This city is considered most ancient Egyptian city in Al-Ssaeed, east
of Nile River toward the city of Suhaj. The latter was the capital for
the 9th territory of territories of Al-Wajih and Qabali in the ancient
pharaonic era, under its old name (Banubulies). The goddess (Meen)
is considered as a symbol for fertility and offspring and it was the
main worshipped for territories since that.
This city provided a safe haven for priests, hermits escaping from the
Romanian Sate oppression that was known as being as oppressor for
Christian religious men since 3rd century AD. Thus, the new
religious men campaign has been reactive in churches and
monasteries.
