Özet

This study accounts for the crisis of education and current scientific research in the Islamic World. It explicates the dimensions of this crisis, its educational, economic, social and political causes. It also clarifies the dangers that result from separating education and scientific research from religion. Finally, the study explains the philosophy of education and scientific research from both Islamic and Western perspectives pointing out the advantages and disadvantages of both.
