QUSAY BIN KILAB AND HIS ROLE IN THE MANAGEMENT AND ORGANIZATION OF MAKKA

Abstract

Our research deals with highlighting the character of Qusay bin Kilab, his lineage and his life, and how he came to Mecca and then his marriage to the daughter of Hulil ibn Habashia, a masters of Khuza'a, who ruled Mecca at that time. Qusay worked to take over the sovereignty of Mecca after the death of Hulil bin Habashia and then assembled him for Quraysh after it was scattered in the valleys and reefs of Mecca and inhabited it inside Mecca and in its outskirts, The Dar-al-Nadwa, the first dar built by Qusay bin Kilab in Mecca, was built to discuss various matters concerning Mecca, whether social, political and economic. Qusay bin kilab was able to take on the important administrative functions that were previously held by Khaza'a, such as hijaba، siqaya, rifada, leadership and general, ‎And with his political skills he worked on the management and organization of Mecca. After the death of Qusay bin Kilab, other jobs were created, and some of those functions existed before Islam, Its purpose was to contribute all the botton of Quraysh to the administration of Mecca and to be inherited between their botton later.
