Özet
The aim of this research is to improve efficiency and productivity as a means of enhancing human and intellectual capital among employees in Syrian universities, focusing on measuring the relationship between efficiency and productivity and their impact on the development of the intellectual and scientific capabilities of employees. The sample comprised 150 employees from various academic and administrative disciplines across five Syrian universities, selected randomly to ensure a balanced representation of different categories, including educational levels (Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate), work experience (ranging from less than 5 years to more than 20 years), and gender (male and female).
The study utilized a questionnaire consisting of 20 questions designed to measure levels of efficiency and productivity, in addition to tools for assessing human and intellectual capital, with the reliability of the instrument tested through statistical analysis, yielding positive results. The research employed a descriptive analytical approach, and data were analyzed using appropriate statistical methods, such as factor analysis and multiple regression, utilizing SPSS software to facilitate the analysis processes.
The results revealed a strong positive relationship between efficiency, productivity, and human and intellectual capital, indicating that employees with higher educational levels and longer work experience achieved higher rates of efficiency and productivity. It was also found that improving the work environment and increasing professional training significantly contribute to enhancing these factors. Notably, universities that invested in developing their employees' skills experienced a marked increase in productivity, reflecting the impact of investment strategies in human capital on institutional performance.
Based on the findings, the research recommends the establishment of continuous training programs aimed at enhancing employee efficiency. It also advocates for the development of innovative strategies to stimulate creativity within the workplace. Additionally, it is suggested that similar studies be conducted at various time intervals to monitor the impact of changes in the university environment on employee efficiency and productivity.
