‘EBED’ KELİMESİNİN ETİMOLOJİK TAHLİLİ VE AHİRETİN ‘EBEDİ’ OLUŞU ÜZERİNE YAPILAN BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Özet

Ebedilik konusu ‘ebed’ kelimesine yüklenen mutlak sonsuzluk kavramı ile açıklanmaya çalışıldığı için tartışmalara neden olmuştur. Sonsuzluk meselesi insanın kendi iradesine bağlı bir durum değildir. Nitekim insan ölümlü ve sonu olan bir varlıktır. Ontolojik olarak da zaten sonradan yaratılan varlıklar mutlak manada ezeli olmadıkları gibi mutlak manada ebedi de olamazlar. Söz konusu olan ‘ebedilik’ Allah’ın dilemesine ve iradesine bağlı kayıtlı ve şartlı bir ebediyettir. Ayet ve hadislerden hareketle ahiretin ebedi olduğuna şüphe yoktur; ancak bu ebediliğe mutlak sonsuzluk anlamı yüklendiğinde işte o zaman teolojik olarak birtakım problemler ve tartışmalar ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bu soruna çözüm bulmaya çalışılmış ve netice itibariyle ebediliğin mutlak manada bir sonsuzluk ifade etmediği kanaatine varılmıştır. Bu bağlamda süreyi ve sınırı belirleyici olan yüce Allah’tır. Hüküm ve hikmet sahibi olan yüce rabbimizin iradesine bağlı olarak gerçekleşecek olan ahiret hayatının süresi mutlak manada ebedi yani sonsuz olacaksa bile bu yine yüce Allah’ın izni ile gerçekleşecektir.

Abstract

The subject of eternity has caused controversy because it is tried to be explained with the concept of absolute eternity, which is attributed to the word 'eternal'. The issue of eternity is not a matter of one's own will. As a matter of fact, man is a mortal and finite being. Ontologically, the beings created afterwards are not eternal in the absolute sense, nor can they be eternal in the absolute sense. The 'eternity' in question is a registered and conditional eternity dependent on Allah's will and will. Based on verses and hadiths, there is no doubt that the Hereafter is eternal; however, when the meaning of absolute eternity is attributed to this eternity, then some theological problems and debates arise. It has been tried to find a solution to this problem and as a result, it has been concluded that eternity does not mean eternity in an absolute sense. In this context, it is Almighty Allah who determines the time and limit. Even if the duration of the life in the hereafter, which will take place in accordance with the will of our Almighty Lord, who has the power and wisdom, will be eternal in the absolute sense, this will still happen with the permission of Almighty Allah.
