BİLGİSAYAR DESTEKLİ MATEMATİK ÖĞRETİMİNİN ÖĞRENCİLERİN AKADEMİK BAŞARISINA ETKİSİ

Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı “Tek değişkenli fonksiyonlarda limit kavramı ve uygulamaları” konusunun öğretiminde bilgisayar destekli öğretim (BDÖ) yönteminin öğrencilerin akademik başarısına etkisini incelemektir. Öntest-sontest kontrol gruplu deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Çalışma, Anadolu Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi İlköğretim Bölümü Matematik Öğretmenliği Programı’nda III. Yarıyılda öğrenim gören Analiz I dersini alan 40 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Uygulama yapılan bölümde öğrenim gören öğrenciler iki gruba ayrılmış, deney ve kontrol grupları oluşturulmuştur. Nicel araştırma yaklaşımı benimsenmiştir. Öğrencilerin “Tek değişkenli fonksiyonlarda limit kavramı ve uygulamaları” konusunda başarısını incelemek amacıyla “Limit Konusu Çoktan Seçmeli Başarı Testi” kullanılmış ve verilerin analizinde SPSS istatistik programı kullanılmıştır. BDÖ yöntemi, limit kavramı ve uygulamalarının öğretiminde öğrencilerin akademik başarılarını arttırmıştır.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of computer assisted instruction (CAI) on the academic success of students in the teaching of “Limit concept and applications in univariate functions”. Experimental design with pre-test and post-test control group was used. The study was conducted with 40 students who took the 3rd semester of Analysis I course in Anadolu University Faculty of Education Department of Mathematics Teaching Program. The students were divided into two groups and experimental and control groups were established. A quantitative research approach has been adopted. The “Limit Concept Multiple Choice Success Test” was used to examine the success of the students on “Limit concept and applications in univariate functions”. The obtained data were analyzed by SPSS statistical program. The CAI method has increased the academic success of students in the teaching of limit concepts and its applications.
