TÜRKÇE ÖĞRETMENLERİNİN METİN KAVRAMINA YÜKLEDİKLERİ ANLAMLAR VE METİNLERİN TAŞIMASI GEREKEN ÖZELLİKLER İLE İLGİLİ GÖRÜŞLERİ

Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı Türkçe öğretmenlerinin “metin” kavramına yükledikleri anlamları belirlemek ve öğretmenlerin belirttiği metin özellikleri ile Türkçe Dersi Programı’nda yer alan metin özelliklerinin örtüşme düzeylerini tespit etmektir. Çalışma, betimsel nitelikli olup tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2014-2015 eğitim öğretim yılında Konya ilinde görev yapan 79’u kadın 67’si erkek olmak üzere 146 Türkçe öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Türkçe öğretmenlerinin araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan forma verdikleri cevaplara göre “metin” kavramına yükledikleri anlamlar “eğitim-öğretim”, “metin birimleri” ve “dil ögesi” başlıkları altında kategorize edilmiştir. Öğretmenlerin öğrenciler için uygun metin özelliklerinde ilgi alanı ve seviyeye uygunluk, okuma alışkanlığı ve dil bilinci kazandırma, kelime hazinesini geliştirme hususlarını ön plana çıkardıkları tespit edilmiştir. Bununla beraber öğretmen görüşlerinde; metinlerin dil, anlatım ve içerik yönünden türünün güzel örneklerinden seçilmesi gerekliliğine, öğretim programının temelini oluşturan eleştirel, yaratıcı ve sorgulayıcı düşünme boyutunun metin özellikleri arasında önemli bir yeri olduğuna yeterince dikkat çekilmediği belirlenmiştir.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the meanings that Turkish Language teachers assign to the concept of “text” and detect the goodness of fit of these concepts with text features stated in Turkish Language Curriculum with reference to the mentioned items. The study has descriptive quality and the survey model was used in it. The study group of research consisted of 79 female and 67 male Turkish language teachers, 146 teachers in total, working in the province of Konya in 2014-2015 academic year. The meanings assigned to the concept of “text” were categorized under the titles of “education”, “text unit” and “language component” according to the answers given by Turkish language teachers to the form prepared the researchers. It was determined that teachers featured the factors including area of interest and appropriateness of the level, developing reading habit and linguistic consciousness, improving vocabulary in appropriate text features for students. Additionally, it has been determined from the opinions of the teachers that it is necessary to choose good samples of texts in terms of language, narration and content, and it is not pointed out sufficiently that the dimension of critical, creative and questioning thinking which underlies the base of a curriculum has an important role in text features.
